Day 4 POST Surgery

Wow. What a difference a day makes...Cam started his therapy sessions yesterday and what they had him do yesterday was NOTHING compared to today.

Yesterday his first session consisted of teaching us how to get him safely out of bed and into his stroller.  Then we went for a walk. The second session yesterday was all about teaching us stretches to do at home with Cam. The therapist also got him to stand from sitting and with her help and mine, he took a few wobbly steps.
Stretching and playing.

Standing.

Today was crazy. We went in this A.M. and his P.T. wanted him to stand right away. Cam wasn't a fan. He is so shaky and weak that I catch my breath each time they take a hand off of him! After many tears (he was mostly anxious about falling or twisting the wrong way to cause pain) he began crawling and finally walking with my help. He was such a trooper!
So fast forward a few hours during his next session and the kid's confidence was astounding. By the end, Cam was walking only being held by one hand, squatting down (very slowly, but doing it nonetheless), and climbing a rock wall with assistance. We couldn't have been more proud!
