So, once he was sleeping peacefully again, they moved us to his room. From there he has woken up off and on, cried off and on, smiled here and there, and of course played games on our phones...we promised him he could:) He REALLY wants his IVs out. (He has one in each hand. One for use and one for back up. ) I have had to hold his arms down a couple of times. He cries and begs me to take them out, but I end up winning because the meds take over and he is too tired to continue arguing and falls asleep. We are all very tired and are expecting a rough night, so I will sign off. Thanks for all of the texts, phone calls, and balloons. Love you all! Until tomorrow...

Anesthesia is NOT Cam's Friend
It has been a wild ride after coming off of the anesthesia. Cam has had his ups and downs. When we went back to meet him in recovery we heard a loud wailing coming from the direction we were headed. We asked the nurse if that was our child and she said, "Unfortunately, yes." All I could hear was "Mama! Mama!" I rushed over to the bed surrounded by 5 nurses. I tried to let him know I was there, and that part must have sunk in because he stopped yelling for me. He however, did not stop crying, kicking, and screaming. I couldn't believe how strong he was and how he was moving his legs. I thought he would be very weak from the surgery. They didn't want Cam pulling out his IV and epidural so they ended up having to give him extra meds to knock him out. He has never done well after anesthesia...There is no reasoning with him when he is coming off of it whatsoever.

I know that if we could, anyone of us would take your pain and hurt...so sorry you had to go thru that today...I know you are in good hands and time will heal...we love you...
You all remain in our prayers! Bless Camden and mommy and daddy!!! Hopefully you will soon be on the other side of this and the IV's can come out! Glad for the updates. Bev
So glad that he is doing well, anesthesia is so hard on kiddos. Eva is inconsolable after she goes under. Chin up momma and daddy, sometimes i think its harder on parents because we remember. Wish they would give the parents some happy juice too;)
