Never Give Up

One last post for now.....I want to give credit where credit is due, and this post is a credit to our Cam.  As a mom, there is absolutely nothing worse than watching your child go through something painful.  If I could take this disability, or this surgery, or the countless rounds of casting, or the shots of Botox, or the anesthesia, or the braces, or the painful stretching, or the hundreds of doctor appointments (seriously), I would do it in a heartbeat.  Any mother would.  But I can't.  Instead I choose to give extra hugs and high fives, make big deals out of things that would be taken for granted by others (today he buckled his own seatbelt 3 times in a row), and offer words of empathy mixed with a gentle nudge of "you can do it".

As much as his struggles cause me my own set of pain and worries, his life also gives me hope.  I see it.  I see who God has created and He makes no mistakes.  I see a young, 4 year old boy, who is conquering and overcoming with every step he takes.  I see him being shaped and molded into something not many will have in this lifetime.  Camden learns patience, control, and a can-do attitude.  He learns he will fail....over and over....yet he learns to NEVER GIVE UP.  Many of us will learn this at some point in our lives, but he started at birth.  He will also learn the feelings of sweet success after he has worked so diligently to accomplish his goal. I am so proud of this boy

I want you to get a glimpse of just how hard Cam has worked these past 3 months:

Keep up the hard work Cam-a-rama!
